The new WHF Award, created in collaboration with Dr. Liu and his family, honors both the extraordinary contributions he has made to wound care science, as well as the long-term commitment and service he provided to WHF.
The Dr. Paul Yu Liu Excellence in Wound Healing Award is designed to inspire clinicians and scientists of the future to carry on his work in improving wound care.

The Dr. Paul Yu Liu Excellence in Wound Healing Award
Annually, the Wound Healing Foundation will present Dr.
Paul Yu Liu’s Excellence in Wound Healing Award at its Spring Assembly. This award is a reflection of the values that Dr.
Paul Liu has modeled over his entire career. Donations to the #LiuMemorialAward in honor of Dr. Liu can be made at https://www.woundhealingfoundation.org/donate/.
The criteria for selecting the recipients will include clinical innovation, patient impact, mentorship and education commitment, as well as service to wound care.
The award will be funded by NHMS with a portion of its endowment. This money is used to fund a research grant in wound healing, which advances wound healing science directly.
