Before he reached his current role, La Rosa developed his abilities through internships. These experiences laid the foundation for a successful career. He was an intern in engineering at Fehr-Graham from 2018 until 2020. He gained valuable experience on site design, inspection, construction stakeout and legal surveying. The role was a continuation of two previous internships, which he had completed with Poole Construction Company Limited in Georgetown, South Carolina in 2018, and Cadiz in Kentucky in 2017. These two experiences helped him develop his abilities in creating blueprints, performing quantity control and engineering lifts to install girders on different projects.
In 2016, Mr. La Rosa began his first tenure with Fehr Graham as a surveyor intern. He worked on construction stakeout and also presented projects at city councils. In 2021, Mr. La Rosa earned his bachelor’s in civil engineering and certificate in leadership studies at Iowa State University.
La Rosa, a member of the Society of Land Surveyors of Iowa and a professional in his field who is committed to maintaining best practices for land surveying has been an active participant of this organization. He is also involved with community empowerment and humanitarian initiatives through his affiliation with Advancing modern professionals for tomorrow (now AMP’T), as well as serving on the Parks and Recreation Commission and being the President of the Rotary club. This shows his dedication to make a positive impact in every aspect of his life.
La Rosa is a man who enjoys a balance between his career as an engineer and the civic work he does. He also loves to spend time with family and friends, play golf and basketball, and go snowboarding. He is determined to improve his skills by earning a professional engineer license and a surveyor license.
