Acy Brown is a local philanthropist and entrepreneur who joins the Ouachita Junior High School softball team by donating equipment & merchandise

Acy Brown donates to OJHS softball team

CHATHAM, La.10 March 2025 PRLog Acy Brown is a well known philanthropist, community activist, and has generously donated equipment to the Ouachita Junior High School girls’ softball team. Brown’s donation will provide the girls with all the tools they need to succeed in softball, as well as a positive and successful experience. The equipment includes an aluminum Louisville Slugger bat, Academy Sports + Outdoors Softballs and Rawlings Fielding Gloves. This donation gives many players access to gear they might otherwise not be able to afford.

“Being able to give back to the communities that have supported me has always been important to me,” Acy Brown “The girls of Ouachita Junior High School have so much potential, and I hope that this donation will help them not only improve their skills but also build confidence and teamwork. It’s an investment in their future, both on and off the field.”

Brown has supported youth education and programs for many years through The Donte Andrew Annie non-profit 501(c). The Donte Andrew Annie 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation, which Brown founded in Louisiana and is deeply involved with many charitable causes throughout the state, has a long history of supporting youth programs and education.

“We are incredibly grateful to Mr. Brown for his generosity,” Jasmine Tillman, the head coach of the team. “This donation will make a huge difference for our girls, and it shows them how much the community believes in their potential. It’s not just about the equipment – it’s about the support, the belief, and the encouragement they receive from people like Acy Brown.”

This generous donation has had a significant impact on the performance of the Ouachita Junior high School girls’ softball team. The team has never been more motivated to achieve their goals on and off of the field. The team is led by an impactful and positive coaching staff, including Jasmine Tillman, Head Coach, Jesse Flunder, Assistant Coach, Taylar McConnell, Assistant Coach, and Allyson Griff, Assistant.

Acy Brown’s commitment to improve the lives of youth in the area is an inspiration and a reminder that one person can have a positive impact on their community. They, along with their families and the city of Monroe, are grateful for Acy Brown’s support. We look forward to seeing the Ouachita Junior High School girls softball team continue its success. He has a history of leading with love. And he is committed to God’s hand extended to the local community in Chatham and surrounding areas.
